The Vulgar Ball

Commissioned by The Events Mill and presented at the Barbican, The Vulgar Ball was an immersive celebration of excess, decadence, and theatrical flair. As curator and director of the performers, actors, and artists, I created a series of pop-up installations and performance moments for audiences to explore — from voyeuristic dressing rooms and hidden encounters to catwalks, drag kings and queens, and dazzling showgirls. It was a camp, subversive journey through the beautifully grotesque, inviting guests to revel in the art of bad taste.
